Hi! I’m Laurie Gallamore and I’m so happy you found my blog, Gallamore West. I started this blog in 2007 as a way to keep in touch with family. My husband is from the East Coast and we settled in my hometown of San Diego, thus the blog name, Gallamore West.
I’m a 5th generation San Diegan and I love being able to raise our family in the same town, and even the same HOME that I grew up in. That’s right! We bought the home I grew up in from my parents and are happily raising our boys in the same home from my childhood. It’s a ranch style home, that we’re always updating on a budget. I’m excited to show you the changes we make along the way, starting with our Budget Kitchen Makeover here.
We have four beautiful, wild little boys who keep us on our toes all of the time! I’m a Kindergarten teacher after staying home with our boys for 10 years. I love being back in the classroom, trying my best to make learning fun while balancing my home life through healthy living inside and out. I love sharing all things home, healthy living, and classroom. I love Target, the satisfaction I feel in crossing things off my to-do lists, eating breakfast for dinner, wine on the deck every night, hosting parties, a nice hot glue gun, vintage treasure hunting, and people who still know how to say please and thank you.
